Celtic and rangers football fans will be asked to consider more than their teams fortunes today when two of the music world's most controversial figures stage a bizarre stunt in Glasgow public houses.

The art agents-provocateurs Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty of the K Foundation will be screening, in bars frequented by the rival supporters, a film showing the infamous occasion when they burnt £1 million on Jura.

"Bill and Jimmy will just be talking to the fans, asking them what they think really happened that night on Jura.

"They were thinking of asking Celtic fans what Rangers fans might make of it and vice versa," a spokesman for the group, Mark Hawker, said.

Mr Hawker said the pair planned simply to turn up at Celtic and Rangers fans' haunts, which he would not name, armed with a film and projector. The film, Watch the K Foundation Burn A Million Quid, is said to question the role of money in modern art.

Drummond and Cauty, both notoriously shy about granting interviews, wanted to show up at Barlinnie, but Mr Hawker said plans for the prison screening had fallen through. He added that the pair would be making an appearance at Glasgow Green's bonfire celebrations tomorrow.

He said: "For the first time there will be two bonfires on Glasgow Green."
